A live roundtable connecting with members of the Tamer Institute for Community Education in Gaza, speaking from within the conditions in which this work has been developed. Chaired by Dr Suzanne Abougheida, Affiliate Researcher at the Institute of Research and Study on the Arab and Islamic Worlds, Marseille. With Abeer Jibreel, Lamees Alsharif, Cleopatra Naeem, and Rufaida Sahweil, artists and youth workers with Tamer, who facilitated Masar al Awda ilal Bayt (the route back home) workshops with young people in Gaza. The conversation reflects on working with young people under conditions of ongoing genocide, and on drawing and writing as practices through which experience is held, expressed, and shared. The session will be held live, with translation provided, and will include space for questions and dialogue with contributors in Gaza.
